Jonathan Pain

Director of JP Consulting NSW Pty Ltd. Jonathon has over 30 years international investment experience. Having headed up teams in London, Bahrain and Australia and his previous roles include Executive Director and Chief Investment Strategist of HFA Asset Management, Chief Investment Officer of Rothschild Australia Asset Management, Head of Investments at Gulf International Bank in Bahrain and Chair of the International Asset Allocation Committee at Paribas Asset Management in London.

Jonathan has joint Honours Degrees in Economics and Politics from Keele University and a Masters Degree in Finance from Exeter University.

He writes the widely read investment newsletter 'The Pain Report' which provides an independent perspective of financial markets and the world economy. Jonathon is a regular public speaker worldwide, specialising in Global Markets, Asset Allocation and Portfolio Construction.

Felix Stephen

Felix has over 45 years experience in international banking, treasury, fixed income, foreign exchange and portfolio management. He has served on asset allocation, risk and investment strategy committees at funds institutions both here and overseas. He has authored numerous financial research papers and was a member of the market practices committee at the Central Bank of Ceylon.

In his previous role as Head of Investment Strategy and Research with Advance Asset Management, Felix designed asset allocation strategies across diversified portfolios, drove the consultation, analytical and research agenda along with the publication of regular research papers for Advance's retail and institutional clients. He's a well-known public speaker, makes regular TV appearances and has keynoted at conferences worldwide.

Nowadays, Felix devotes much of his time and resources to helping underprivileged people and is Chairman of Volunteers to Assist Children with Disabilities (VACD), a Sri Lankan charity.

Mathew Jeremy

Mathew began his career as an economist and policy adviser with the Reserve Bank of Australia and the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet. He spent most of his ten years at the Reserve Bank in the International Department and in 1983 was part of the team tasked with floating the Australian dollar.

Since the late 1980s Mathew has held senior roles with major investment firms, including National Mutual Funds Management, Queensland Investment Corporation, and Suncorp Investment Management.

Through these roles Mathew has gained valuable experience across a wide range of investment fields, including global economics and investment strategy, investment manager selection and portfolio construction. He has worked extensively on absolute return funds and how to use them in portfolios, while his quantitative analysis of investment manager performance is very highly regarded in the industry.

Mathew has degrees in economics from the University of Sydney and Macquarie University, as well as an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management.

He is RG 146 Qualified.
